You’re preparing a detailed estimate with all the details including assumptions and qualifications for a client and you want it to be perfect, before you submit the estimating package prepare and present it to your worst critic, to the guy that always telling you the sky is falling, telling him you have the perfect estimating package. Let him tell you everything you did wrong or how it won’t work, go back to your office and evaluate what you heard make the appropriate adjustments. When you present it to the client you’ll be ready to answer the tough questions showing him you evaluated all the options and you have the right price.
